Timothy Ellis has over 27 years of martial arts experience. He began his martial art journey in 1992 with younger brother and twin brother (John) to learn to defend himself as he attended a tough all-boys high school.

In 1995 after years of hard training he received his Black Belt and then in 1996 the grade of 1st Dan in Budoshinkai Karate.

His grading history since then is:-

  1. 1st Degree Black Belt in American Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Kwon from Master Fred Absher.
  2. 2nd Dan Black Belt in Budoshinkai Karate.

2nd Degree Black Belt in American Tae Kwon Do.

  1. 3rd Degree Black Belt in Budoshinkai Karate.

3rd Degree Black Belt in American Tae Kwon Do.

  1. Blue Belt in Team Norton Brazilian Ju-Jitsu from Professor Richard Norton.
  2. 4th Dan Black Belt in Budoshinkai Karate.
  3. Level 1 Accreditation in Ukidokan Kickboxing from Sensei Benny “The Jet” Urquidez.

Purple Belt in Team Norton Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.

Honoured with the title of Renshi.

  1. 5th Dan Black Belt in Budoshinkai Karate.
  2. Brown Belt in Team Norton Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.

He is currently:

  • The Senior Instructor for the Kid’s Karate program for Budoshinkai Karate Jitsu.
  • The Senior Coach for the Kid’s Brazilian Ju-Jitsu program for Team Norton BKJ.
  • The Head Coach for the Kickboxing program for BKJ Kickboxing.
  • The Assistant Coach for Budoshinkai Karate Jitsu tournament team, Team BKJ.

Outside of martial art His hobbies include:-

  • Making things from timber.
  • Listening to music.
  • Learning to play the guitar.
